Unplug & Showshoe

Sorensen's, Lake Tahoe (CA)

Last weekend, a group of us left the hustle and bustle of SF. After a few hours in a car, we arrived at Sorensen’s, just south of Lake Tahoe. Even though we had no cell service when we entered the area, we made a pact before hand to turn our cell phones off to enjoy each others company.

Bluegrass, good food, board games, and an ample supply of alcohol—everything you need have a restful and relaxing weekend. Oh, and let’s not forgot the outdoors right outside.

This trip also gave me more inspiration for taking Unplug & Ride to the masses. I am working on building out this concept so more people can experience some of the things I feel when I decide to turn off my devices and take in life a tad bit slower.

As a Design Strategist and Creative Facilitator, I focus on social innovation, human-centered design, and purpose-driven initiatives that create positive change in the world. I love finding ways for organizations to make a huge impact in unexpected places. Working with others who are working towards creating positive change, I use design as my tool to help them do this in a better way. In a playful workshop environment, I help Fortune 500 companies to startups, non-profits to universities, come up with fun, achievable, and innovative solutions to challenges. My prefer method is making. With a background in both web and graphic design, I bring ideas to life so others can see what’s possible.
