Great weekends happen when a friend turns the big 3-0. A group of us drove up to The Sea Ranch for the weekend to spend some quality time with old friends while making new ones. With 12 of us there, many of us felt no need to reach for our phones—and maybe because no one had cell service ;)

Regardless, we had more than enough things to distract us for two days: beer, food, a banjo/guitar combo, the beach, trails, and even a hot tub. Not having my iPhone on me definitely slowed down time, which felt great after a busy week with work.
